2026 GM Boons

I am delighted to announce that 2026 GM Boons are now available! These boons are intended to reward GMs who run Organized Play games at their local stores and conventions, and are available to all. Thank you all very much for your patience.

Below are download links for the 2026 GM boons. These boons will unlock character options as you GM games. While you can run games with your friends and complete the boons that way, they will unlock faster if you GM at RSP-supported locations like your local game store, or at conventions (like, perhaps…Gen Con).

We hope that those of you who have yet to take the plunge into GMing find this a great incentive to start, and that our long-time GMs are able to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Make sure to tell your friends about the rewards of GMing games for Organized Play!

Sanctioning Updates

We’re currently working on a refresh of our Pathfinder Society sanctioning document template, which we use to create chronicle sheets for our Adventures and Adventure Paths. As such, while we absolutely intend to sanction the new Hellbreakers Adventure Path, as well as last month’s Season of Ghosts compilation, the documents themselves are running a bit late. We’ll have them to you before you complete enough of Hellbreakers to need one, so dive into Cheliax now without fear!

Well, you should have some fear. It is Cheliax, after all.

Risks & Rewards Playtest

The Risks & Rewards playtest is now live! Join players worldwide in testing the two newest Pathfinder classes: the daredevil and slayer! New playtest rules allow you to continue playing these classes even after the playtest concludes.

Read more about the playtest and how to get involved in Pathfinder Society in this blog. I’m personally looking forward to bringing a slayer to conventions this year. Speaking of which…

Convention Updates

Last month we announced that PaizoCon Online will be taking this year off as we plan to retool the event for future years. We’re very sad to miss seeing you all over Memorial Day, but we’re looking forward to future plans!

If you’re looking to spend time with us at conventions, applications to GM at Gen Con 2026 are still open, and all the information can be found in this blog. There are also dozens of local conventions listed on our convention calendar; find one near you and connect with players in your area!

GM Recognition

GM Ranks

Whether stars, novas, glyphs, or a secret fourth thing, achieving a 5 ranking in any program involves a substantial amount of time. To achieve the 5th milestone, a GM must run 150 games, of which at least 50 must be unique scenarios and 10 special scenarios as well as run between one and three games for venture-captains (program dependent). A conservative estimate of the time needed to reach the 5th milestone is 650 hours!

This month we had two GMs reach their fifth rank!

5th Glyph (PFS2): Josh Ericson, Heather Zimmerman

If you believe you’ve completed your 5th rank but haven’t been announced yet, please email me at organizedplay@paizo.com.

Until next time - explore! report! cooperate! and dare to slay some devils!
