When last we left our heroes, they were locked in a fight with a cunning and powerful warlord from the depths of space who had claimed the all-powerful Gauntlet: Infinity and was planning to use it to rule the universe! Can our heroes triumph to reclaim the gauntlet? Will they survive the daylong battle, subsisting only on snacks and caffeine? Will you help them achieve victory?

Two years ago, the brave forces of Paizo took the field of battle, fighting off skilled foes sent by other game companies from around Seattle to claim the Gauntlet, a fabled prize of glory and power. When the dust settled, we were victorious. The Gauntlet was ours!

The Gauntlet was awarded on Sunday, and with your help, Paizo brought home this mighty trophy! Sponsored by Card Kingdom, the Gauntlet tournament featured competitors from a wide array of local game companies and groups. Funds raised by all of the teams went to support Child's Play, a charity that donates games and toys to sick kids in hospitals around the world. On top of furthering such a great cause, donations also earned each team a number of "Power Ups" to use during the event, granting an edge against the opposition.

This Sunday, four members of the Paizo staff will do glorious battle with teams from other game companies for the right to claim The Gauntlet! Over the past week, we've been collecting donations to help our team improve its chances. These donations go directly to Child's Play, a charity that helps sick kids in hospitals around the world by supplying them with toys and games! So far we've raised over $3,000 for the Paizo team, which has earned us 8 "Power Ups" to use during the event. Reaching these goals has also unlocked some rewards for you!

I can truly say that the team was astounded when you helped us raise over $2000 in a single day for The Gauntlet charity tournament event coming up on May 18th. With that, we have earned a number of "power ups" that are going to help us in the tournament to claim The Gauntlet. Alas, the fight is not over yet!

We here at Paizo take gaming seriously, and when we heard about an opportunity to play games for charity, we just could not resist. On May 18th, a four-member team of elite goblin commandos will descend upon Card Kingdom in Seattle to do battle with other teams for the right to claim The Gauntlet, a truly epic trophy made from an actual gauntlet. With foes like Bungie, GeekGirlCon, the Lady Planeswalkers, Wizards of the Coast, and Penny Arcade, we are going to be facing off against some serious opponents. That is where you come in.
