Starfinder Society Year 5 Rule Updates
Greetings, Starfinders! The launch of the Year of Redemption’s Rise is less than a month away, and we hope you’re all excited. Jessica and I are here today to talk about some of the new rule changes taking effect on May 27th, when Year 5 launches at PaizoCon. Our transition to Achievement Points last year was a big shift, so this year we’re keeping things simple.
The Improvements So Far
Back in November 2014, you may recall the Pathfinder Society team held a marathon meeting to address a long list of feedback and devise numerous concrete objectives for how to improve the Pathfinder Society Organized Play campaign. In the spirit of the main announcement for today, let's take a look at what Mike and I shared back then and see where things are now.
Improvements Are A-Comin'
Over the past several months, there have been some growing concerns with Pathfinder Society Organized Play. As we would like to take action to correct the concerns instead of let them grow and fester, we reached out to all 395 Venture-Officers a month ago to receive their feedback on what was wrong with the campaign, what was good about the campaign, and what we could do to improve or correct things to make Pathfinder Society even more awesome. Even though there were some difficult opinions expressed, most were true and it caused us to take a hard look at the organized play program.
